Product details

The Cold Therapy universal reusable ice bag packs are an accessory for your cold therapy device.

Simply add water 60% up to the seal line, seal and freeze these reusable ice bag packs.

In your first couple of days after surgery you are going to love your ice machine. Reduce your trips to the freezer for ice with these easy to use, long-lasting reusable ice packs.

The ice bags help keep your water colder longer than traditional ice cubes (its a surface area thing).  It allows you to rotate frozen packs instead of dishing out ice cubes. Is it a luxury? Yes, but it is undeniable that it is a great addition to any cooler purchase.

Below is a direct quote from a customer explaining why and how these little bags are so useful...

"The machine take 2.5 lbs of ice each time you set it up. I got two 5 lbs bags of ice and each bag was two sessions for my husband. Lucky for me I had a freezer I could put the other bag in. Once the Breg Bags arrived I was able to have ice for my husband without having to run out to the gas station for bags of ice. Well worth the investment."

Simpler cooling

My advise is to order at least 8 bags, it makes keeping up with the cold therapy simple and quick, with no need to empty any melt water from the Berg Polar cube. It was well worth the extra cost.

Great idea but quality is lacking

I really think this is a great solution to the filling of the container with ice and water. However, even though I followed the instructions and did not overfill the bags prior to freezing, I have had 3 bags break at the side seams, causing a bit of an issue in my freezer. The bags could be a bit more robust in this area. Thank goodness I bought an extra set of bags.

Arrived much later

I needed the bags and thought they’d arrive with the cube. Arrived much later - had to get bags off Amazon instead with next-day delivery. Erggh.

Convenient but a bit fragile

This is my first time using these ice packs rather than plastic water bottles filled with water. They work pretty well and get me through a day of icing my knee, but the water has cooled off some by the last time I use it in the evening. I think they work almost as well as the water bottles and they are definitely better than ice cubes for keeping the water cold. Another good feature is that when emptied out and not in use, they lie flat for storage and are reusable. However, I did discover a small hole on the front of one of them after my first use. After drying it out really good I covered it with duct tape on both sides and so far it’s still holding. But I’ve only been using it for a week so hopefully I’ll have no other issues with it or the other three ice packs.
